  After 47 years of providing outstanding legal services and representing thousands of individuals and businesses in Northwest North Dakota, Dick is now retired. He began the practice of law in 1969 as a litigator, and later focusing on commercial transactions, banking, real estate, probate and estate planning. Widely respected for his knowledge of the law, and equally respected as an ambassador of his community, Dick served on many local and state boards supporting economic development as well as organizations focused on education.

  Laurie received both her undergraduate and law degree from the University of North Dakota. Laurel began practicing with the Firm right after passing the bar exam and has remained with the Firm since 1984. Laurel has a wide range of experience, but her interests in the law have always been estate planning, probate, real estate, elder law, as well as corporate and partnership law. Considered an authority by many in the area of estate planning, Laurel has presented many seminars, the attendees of which range from bank trust departments, nursing homes and hospitals to fellow attorneys. Laurel is consistently sought after for her knowledge in estate planning and elder law and has helped thousands of people with their legal needs.

  We represent individuals in comprehensive estate planning, which may include the preparation of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and living wills. We also provide legal representation to families with concerns for the elderly or incapacitated.
• Trusts
  Our Attorneys provide legal representation and advice on the preparation of wills, trusts and powers of attorney, including discussing possible tax issues that may be related to the disposition of a person’s estate and working with the client's accountant on such matters. We also provide legal assistance on the administration of trusts and estates.
