Originally founded more than 40 years ago in Richmond, Va., Symbol Mattress is one of the largest, privately owned mattress manufacturers in the United States. The company has advanced facilities that are vertically integrated to be able to offer customers high-quality selections at better-than-market prices. Symbol has grown into a network of nationwide manufacturing plants located in Richmond; Reading, Pa.; Dayville, Conn.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Jasper, Ala., Watertown, Wis.; and Orlando, Fla. Products include Contour Classic, latex and visco memory foam core mattresses; Comfortec, foam-encased mattresses with steel innersprings; Comfort Innovations, one-sided steel innerspring technology; Easy Rest, one-sided value priced bedding; Chiro Built, traditional two-sided bedding; Bunkie products and visco memory foam pillows; and futons. Symbol Mattress maintains a location in Watertown.
