General Info

ARMA Research is a small, family-owned company dedicated exclusively to working with Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, Students, and others who may be seeking a Medical Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ). By keeping our company small, we are able to give you customized, personalized service. We steadfastly believe in treating our customers as we ourselves like to be treated. We only work directly with our clients. We do not have, nor do we seek contracts with large organizations. You, the client, always receive our direct, personal attention. Our president, Arthur J. Risser, has a long history with aviation. His introduction was an airplane ride on his 8th birthday in a Piper Cub outfitted with pontoons, flying off of the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He took his first lesson in 1965 at Essex Skypark near Baltimore, Maryland following his first Introductory Flight in Frederick, Maryland. Since then he has earned his Private Pilot Certificate, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, and Certified Flight Instructor Certificate. His experience includes flying duties in various corporations, Flight School Director in a multiple location/flight school environment, and working through the FAA with pilots requiring remedial flight training. He has served several years on his local municipality's Airport Commission and remains active at his local airport. In addition, he is an active advocate of aviation among the uninitiated, giving lectures and interactive talks to school children and community groups about the joys of flying. As with most pilots, given the slightest chance to talk about aviation he does! We are proud to be involved in assisting others in the aviation community by solving problems with the processes involved in obtaining FAA Medical Certificates In addition we support multiple aviation organizations including the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association ( AOPA ) and the Experimental Aircraft Association ( EAA ).
