The plant was formed by Glacial Lakes Corn Processors and Glacial Lakes Capital. Glacial Lakes Energy purchased the ownership by Glacial Lakes Capital, and after the transaction, Glacial Lakes Corn Processors became the owner of Glacial Lakes Energy. Glacial Lakes Energy owns Granite Falls Energy located in Granite Falls, Minn. Glacial Lakes Energy also operates over 100 million gallons per year capacity of ethanol plant named Aberdeen Energy. The company also owns a grain elevator called Madison Energy, located in Madison, Minn. Glacial Lakes Energy and its subsidiaries serve the agriculture industry.
