The Parks and Recreation Department is a division of administrative office of City of Watertown. The department supervises various city parks that offer a gamut of recreational activities, such as public skating, box lacrosse, shows, events and concerts, hockey and figure skating. It offers a variety of programs, such as swimming for toddler to youth, adult sports and fitness. It also provides swimming lessons and aerobics for seniors. It provides maintenance services for various recreational facilities, among them Fairgrounds, Thompson Park Municipal Swimming Pool and Steve D. Alteri municipal swimming pool. Its office is located in Watertown, N.Y.
