this office seemed nice at first but due to me being high risk they refused to continue my care. They referred me to Syracuse , i live right outside fort drum mind you. Not only was i not told till last minute i had labs and a full exam, which i was not given a full exam yet at 16 weeks, i had an appointment which i waited for an hour for them to tell me they are not going to see me when they called the day before to confirm the appointment. This place was absolutely ridiculous and i recommend that if you are even moderately high risk that you find another office.
I transferred to Comprehensive Women's Health after a bad experience at the office on Ft Drum. I saw Dr Peterson for nearly 2 years. And I saw Dr Abougou three times for an IUD. All experiences with this office were wonderful. The doctors and nurses were great! After reading one of the other reviews about an IUD, I must say that my experience was quite simple. I went in on a Thursday for my evaluation, they gave me the prescription for my IUD (I had to pick it up at the pharmacy on Ft Drum since I'm a TriCare patient), on Friday my IUD was inserted. The follow-up appointments for the IUD were easy as well. All in all, my experience with both the family health staff and the OB-GYN staff was pleasant. I will say that the administrative staff has gotten on my nerves at times, they often don't seem to know what they're talking about. But with the quality of health care, I can overlook the administrative staff. I'm just sad I'm moving to Texas and can no longer see Dr Peterson!

Their medical care appears to be solid but their administrative procedures are a weak. My spouse has been trying to get a new IUD for more than 6 weeks now. It took three weeks for the item to come in and then a few hours prior to her apppointment they cannot find it. It was either not ordered or given to someone else. Another three weeks and the day prior to her appointment and they cannot find her referral and need another. Two hours later and they have everything but the appointment needs to shift to one day later. None of this is insumountable but their administrative inefficiencies are having a significant negative impact upon the entire team to the extent that my spouse refuses to see them for care in the future. KAC, Fort Drum
I switched to this group not long after they opened after a bad experience with another OBGYN group. They took me in, assigned 1 nurse and 1 doctor to me and gave me the proper attention and care I needed. For a new group, I highly recommend them.
