Pulpdent Corporation is a family-owned business that has served the dental profession with products since 1947, when it introduced Pulpdent Pulp Capping Paste, the original, premixed calcium hydroxide-methylcellulose pulpal dressing. From its manufacturing facility in Watertown, Mass., the company operates a chemical laboratory and an automated machine shop along with research and development, testing, assembly, inspection, packaging and shipping departments. Pulpdent uses a network computer system to assist in managing the manufacturing, distribution and accounting activities. The company is certified ISO 9001:2000, ISO 13485 (1996) and Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. Pulpdent Corporation distributes its products through dental dealers worldwide.
