Established in 1887, the Waterloo Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services. The department offers fire rescue services to Waterloo, Portland, Milford and Sheilds townships in Wiscosin. It partners with Columbus Community Hospital and provides lifeline medical alert system services. The Waterloo Fire Department maintains a fleet of ambulances and fire extinguishing trucks. The department features a range of fire rescue equipment, including tankers, remote control light towers, hydraulic ladder racks, cameras and speakers. It additionally includes fire brooms, paddles, and foam and water tanks. The Waterloo Fire Department maintains a work force of more than 40 employees that include fighters and emergency medical technicians. It is located in Waterloo, Wis.
