Care Initiatives, established in 1988, is a nonprofit medical center offering services to elders. It serves more than 3,000 people through nursing homes, independent living units and assisted living facilities. Its headquarters is located in West Des Moines, Iowa. Its facilities provide intermediate care regular medical, nursing, social and rehabilitative services and rooms and boards. It also offers 24-hour nursing care for its residents. It is licensed by the state of Iowa and certified by Medicaid and Medicare. Care Initiatives is a member of the Iowa Health Care Association and American Health Care Association. It offers a variety of services, such as private and semiprivate rooms, dining areas, recreation rooms, outdoor patios and lounges.
