I went in for my scheduled root canal and it ended up being a consultation? The doctor walked in and said I had two options when I pull my tooth-either a 6,000 dollar implant-all out of pocket-or a bridge-completely out of pocket as well. When I started having a full-blown panic attack (which I made sure when I made the appointment I let them know that I am highly phobic and anxious of any dental work) the dentist just sat and stared at me. I was finally able to calm down enough to choke out that my dentist said I could save my tooth with a root canal and he said, "oh, yeah, that's the other option we could talk about." Seriously? They then informed me that it will cost much more out of pocket regardless because they only accept so much from my insurance and that I was out of luck because there are no more specialists which accept delta dental ppo (also not true-I called delta dental and that is false). Luckily, I am not experiencing pain in the infected roots so I can afford to wait. I would not go here if I had another choice.

Today I took my girlfriend in for a root canal. They only offer local anesthesia and she is very phobic of dental procedures and even so they do not have the capabilities to put her under. We are currently waiting still. It's been over an hour since here appointment time and they have left her sitting numb in the chair for 30 minutes so far. The assistants have been bickering about how no one can save a word document properly and how they lost a patient's file from yesterday. Mind you this is all happening in the room with us, while my girlfriend is still waiting for her surgery, and is anxious already. Highly unprofessional so far and have had a long wait. Would not recommmed.
