I recently placed a last minute order before we left to go on our Christmas vacation to Florida. I came in to buy a pair of waterproof hiking books. I have extremely hard feet to fit as one foot is 3/4 of a size bigger than the other. The owner of the store personally helped me try on all of the pairs in stock for my size. Eventually I settled on a pair of Lowa Trekker's, took them home and wore them for a week indoors. Eventually I decided to return them for a pair of Lowa Renegade Pro's. Love the boots. I brought my girlfriend in a week later and she also bought a pair of Lowa Renegades. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable of the gear and the service was outstanding. We're now CC Outdoorstore fans for all our future gear needs. Bill B.

I was hoping for an experience more like Guest10706. I bought a tent (pricing on par with other online retailers & it arrived in a timely manner), but it wasn't until we got to the mtn. lake and tried the tent for the 1st time that we realized there was a lot of mesh on the tent and no panels to zip over them, so it didn't keep the heat in. I recommend CCOutdoor put more views & better descriptions of products on the website. This tent was only pictured with the rainfly over it & only mentions mesh in the description, or we may have selected a different one. My 1st contact via the contact form wasn't responded to, but a 2nd direct email was answered promptly. They've declined to allow us to return the tent since it was used, but we didn't know there was a problem until we tried it. I was told my info has been escalated, so I hope to be able to revise my review for better customer focus. I recommend shoppers look for an unconditional return policy.

Excellent prices, and truly outstanding service after the sale! This was my first experience with CC Outdoor, but it was a fairly large order and more to the point, not easy things to find because of manufacturer issues. CC Outdoor, and Ellen in particular, has been absolutely wonderful to work with....they gave me the plan up front, kept me informed of where things stood every step of the way, and then even went to another vendor to fill my order when the manufacturer dropped the ball on them. In an age where it's hard enough to get people to do even half of what they say, CC Outdoor does even more than they promise! I wish I could comment on how they handle gear problems, but I haven't had any....everything I've bought is exactly as good as they said it was. I'm sure if there were a problem, they'd take just as good of care of you as they do in every other area. As long as whatever I need is something CC Outdoor sells, I won't deal with anyone else. I have major problems with my feet and must wear "nice looking" hiking boots for my office job--even with dresses. When I ordered some boots, they immediately responded to tell me that the boot wasn't available in my size, and that the company had discontinued it. I was lucky enough to find it elsewhere. When I decided to get a light-colored boot from the same manufacturer, I emailed customer service to find out if it was available. They promptly responded to answer my question. I could have gotten frequent flyer miles by purchasing this boot from another company at a higher price. I chose to purchase it from CCOutdoorStore because the price was much better and because of their exceptional service for my particular needs. You can email customer service, and a REAL PERSON actually answers! Very rare these days.

I had ordered a set of $200 goggles (Zeal SPPX) through CCoutdoorstore - upon receipt the lens had a small crack in it that I didn't notice until I got to the mountain - I notified CCoutdoor and asked for a fix... they immediately Took care of the warranty through Zeal and I got my lenses replaced before I had the chance to get upset about them! I had done my research on a particular dive watch and found to have the best price. I did, however, need the watch quickly. Since I didn't see an option for overnight shipping on the website, I called their Customer Service number and Maureen quickly handled my request in a very positive and manner!
