- Dental ExaminationAs a preventative, diagnostic tool, dental X-rays are essential, revealing valuable information not otherwise visible during a regular dental exam. They enable us to look at what is going on between teeth and under the gum, then use this information to safely and accurately detect hidden dental abnormalities and create an accurate treatment plan. Without X-rays, such problem areas may go undetected.
- X-raysWe are all exposed to natural radiation in our environment. Studies have shown that the radiation exposure from traditional bitewing dental X-rays is about 1/100th of the amount of radiation obtained from natural sources in the US each year. Furthermore, digital X-rays produce up to 90% less radiation compared to traditional dental X-rays. Not only are digital X-rays better for the health and safety of the patient, they are faster and more comfortable to take, which reduces your time in the dental office. Also, since the digital image is captured electronically, there is no need to develop the X-rays, thus eliminating the disposal of harmful waste and chemicals into the environment.
- Teeth CleaningThe ADA recommends that if you choose to use a bleaching product, you should only do so after a full consultation with a dentist. This is especially important for patients who have fillings, crowns, and extremely dark stains. A thorough oral examination, performed by a licensed dentist, is essential to determine if bleaching is an appropriate course of treatment. A thorough dental cleaning can generally remove most stains and help lighten your teeth without bleaching. Reducing stain-causing beverages like iced tea, coffee, and sodas can also be effective.
- Fluoride Treatment
- Dental SealantsSealants act as barriers, protecting the teeth against decay-causing bacteria. These treatments are usually applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (premolars and molars) where decay occurs most often.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeA composite resin is a tooth colored plastic mixture filled with glass (silicone dioxide). Introduced in the 1960s, dental composites were confined to the front teeth because they were not strong enough to withstand the pressure and wear generated by the back teeth. Since then, composites have been significantly improved and can be successfully placed in the back teeth as well. Composites are not only used for restoring decay, but are also used for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth.
- VeneersIf you’re looking to improve your smile, there are many reasons to choose dental veneers. A veneer is a thin covering that is placed over the front (visible) part of the tooth. Veneers can correct a wide range of dental issues, such as...
- CrownsFor a smile that’s truly your crowning glory, crowns can restore your teeth to their natural shape and size while strengthening your bite and improving your appearance.
- BridgesA fixed bridge offers a natural and aesthetically pleasing replacement option for lost or missing teeth. It can improve a person’s overall appearance and self-confidence, and help to eliminate future dental problems.
- Root Canal TreatmentOnce upon a time, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, you’d probably lose that tooth. Today, with a special dental procedure called root canal therapy, you may save that tooth.
- ApicoectomyA root canal is a type of therapy with a high rate of success, but it is not always successful. Sometimes the infection doesn’t clear up and the tooth has to be either: a) retreated, b) have an apicoectomy and retrofill (lay the gum tissue back, curette out the infection, and smooth off the end of the root), or c) extract the tooth. Because the success or failure of a root canal can result from causes that are not under our control (such as tooth anatomy, or a low patient immune system), we have the following policy: If your root canal fails within one year of treatment we will follow up with an equal cost amount of treatment to restore the area at no cost to you. However, if your root canal fails after one year it is our policy to perform the necessary treatment at our normal fees.
- Deep CleaningThis non-surgical, deep cleaning treatment can be your very best defense against plaque and tartar build-up. learn more
- DenturesIf you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay, or injury, complete dentures can restore your missing teeth—and your smile. Replacing missing teeth will benefit not only your appearance, but also your health.
- Dental ImplantsThe single tooth implant replaces the missing tooth’s roots. It is a freestanding unit and does not involve treatment to the adjacent teeth. If the surrounding teeth are healthy, they can remain untouched, and their strength and integrity may be maintained. The implant can stabilize your bite and help prevent problems with the jaw.
- Oral SurgeryOral Surgeons – Specialists with an additional training in anesthesia, sedation techniques and oral surgery, these experts generally deal with complex procedures like dental implants, wisdom tooth removals and reconstructive procedures.
- Flap SurgeryFirst, your dentist will lift the gum from the tooth and bone so that infection can be removed. The infected bone may also be reshaped at this time. Then, following surgery, your dentist will reposition and suture the gum to hold it in place until it heals.

Whitening toothpastes can help remove surface stains only, and they do not contain bleach. None of the home-use whitening toothpastes can come close to producing the bleaching effect you get from your dentist's office through chair-side or power bleaching. Whitening toothpastes can lighten your tooth's color by about one shade while, in contrast, light-activated whitening conducted in your dentist's office can make your teeth three to eight shades lighter.
