This process uses the principles of stress relief to remove the dents from the inside out, leaving no evidence of previous distortions to the naked eye after most repairs. Our craftsmen, working from the backside of the panel, use metal and nylon hand tools to massage the metal back into its original position. Since we can repair dents without using paints or body fillers, we can restore the vehicle at a fraction of the cost a traditional body shop would offer. Dents on the edges of vehicle panels can sometimes be repaired by PDR. However, dents in these locations may not be accessible without more invasive work. Likewise, in dents where the metal is doubled or stretched, PDR can’t repair the damage. Nevertheless, MID-AMERICAN PDR can often remove difficult dents that other PDR companies cannot.
