General Info
Altemueller Jewelry opened in 1902 by Henry Altemueller, Mark and Carl Noelke's great uncle by marriage. The original store was located in a building on Second Street in Downtown Washington, MO, and was mainly a music and gift shop. Around 1915, Henry Noelke, Mark and Carl's grandfather, and his brother, John, bought the business from Altemueller. They relocated the store to a building on Elm Street. It was around this time that Altemueller's became primarily a jewelry store, though miscellaneous items like small appliances and gift pieces were still a large part of the inventory.

Great prices, excellent service with fantastic selection! Custom work done in store, you will never have a bad experience here! They really strive for perfection with all that they do. When you bring that special piece in for repair they take the time to not only make sure they know what you want but they have a really cool computer system that they will take a picture of your item you are dropping off. They can repair anything, even custom make a wedding band for an antique eng ring that has been passed from generation to generation in my family! I am definitely a customer for life!
