Joos family is the ultimate Slumlord of Tazwell county. All the attorneys & cops know them as trouble. She locked my sons apartment when he left, posted a sign that said it was condemned. The washington police had to call her & tell her to open it up because someone still lived there & rent was paid. They then evicted a pregnant mother because they didn't want kids there. Took them to court for cleaning after they wouldn't let the kids back in to clean for themselves. This whole company is a joke. They will lie to your face and they will lie in court about it. Don't waste your time. Save yourself the stress. There are hundreds of these stories. Ask around about them. They only get one star because I have to put something.

Some of the Story is- I am payee for a family member on SS disability. This very gal would text and ask for more $. (She did this a couple times/mind you it was always paid 2 weeks early) the paperwork never showed a rent increase. The family member smoked and isn't able to handle confrontation, they get panic attacks and is completely uncomfortable. They would tell them not to smoke in the apartment. There was noting in the lease about smoking. Smoking calmed him down with dealing struggling with his disability. Yet she would continue to corner him and shake her finger at him to stop smoking. When the girlfriend was pregnant. They would catch her in the hallway and tell her they do not want any babies in the building that she needs to leave. I wrote to Mindy letting Mindy know they had 3 months of a waiting list for housing. To let them know a move was going to happen. That month she asked the "soon to be" mother when she was due and ended up putting that date as the day to be out. Two weeks before that date (yes before that date) this Mindy changed the locks and threw their stuff out. Cops (police did say this was not their 1st time doing this) and court got involved and she lied about locking them out and now wants over $4,000 for her time with this apartment.
