Its domestic programs department informs decision makers, educators, the media and concerned citizens about the changing demography of the United States and its implications for public policies. The bureau s international programs focus on a range of population and health issues, such as family planning, chronic diseases, HIV/AIDS, migration and global aging. Its KIDS COUNT program disseminates information about the status of children through a series of public events, an annual national report and separate state reports.
