I have lived in park ellison apartments for about 3 months in a 1 bedroom and pretty much everything is great. Very large bedroom, and definitely enough space for a nice living room and dining area. Kitchen is updated and can hold all of our pots/pans/dishes. Very nice wood floors and clean walls. The only problem is there are cockroaches. Not tons and tons of them but one or two a week maybe. The apartment does a full scale attack on them every so often but it only helps for a bit. We keep the place pretty clean (i even scrub the floors every so often). I do not think it has to do with cleanliness but rather the age of the building.
