Based in Washington, D.C., National Treasury Employees Union, also known as NTEU, is an independent nonpostal federal employees union. It represents more than 1 million workers in over 25 government agencies throughout the United States. The union specializes in representation of nonsupervisory federal employees in various classification and pay level in civilian agencies and it has been protecting the rights and benefits of the members for 60 years. It helps in improving working conditions and wages and job security for federal revenue officers. It also provides nationwide labor-management program for on-site care. Through the union s actions all federal workers enjoy their rights and benefits in their federal jobs. In addition, National Treasury Employees Union chapters operate in various states that include Canada, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
