Mushinsky Voelzke Associates/MV+A ( formerly Mushinsky Associates/MR+A ) is a medium sized architectural firm located in Bethesda, Maryland. Founded in 1979 by Allen Mushinsky, the office has a current staff of twenty-four. It includes two principals, twenty architects and support, and two administrative assistants. In its thirty years of existence the firm has completed projects of almost all types and scales, bringing to each an absolute dedication to client service and quality architecture. MV+A maintains a reputation throughout the Washington, DC area for thorough client representation, appropriate thoughtful design, and a careful knowledge of construction practices. The firms long term relationships with a diverse list of clients are a testament to that reputation. There are two complimentary philosophies that steer all projects in the firm. The first is a concept of client advocacy, where all team members are constantly aware of the client's goals and preferences. The firm strives for absolute representation and protection of the client's building interests.
