Joseph Letzelter, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon at Children's National Hospital who specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. After completing his medical education he continued his training as an orthopaedic surgery resident at Georgetown University Hospital. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at NYUâ??s Department of Orthopaedics. He also spent time training in New Zealand focusing on wrist and forearm post-traumatic pathology. He most recently finished a fellowship in Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Shrinerâ??s Hospital in Northern California.
