Founded in 1799, Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School is a college preparatory school for girls. The school offers a wide variety of college preparatory, honors and advanced placement courses in various subjects. It has athletic teams for various sports, including cross country, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, swimming, lacrosse and softball. The school also organizes various student clubs, such as chess club, art club, photography and environmental awareness clubs, multicultural club, ski club and booster club. Its offers extracurricular activities that include the Christian Action Service Society, Buddies Against Drunk Driving, chorus, theater productions and dance.
