Dedicated in 1899 and designated a National Historic Site in 1991, the beautiful Monastery church and gardens include unusual, full-size replicas of Holy Land shrines and are the U.S. home of the Franciscan friars who have served in the Holy Land for 800 years, caring for the shrines and people.
