Sarfaz A. Durrani, MD is a compassionate and experienced cardiac electrophysiologist serving the communities of Fairfax, VA and Washington, DC. Specializing in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease, Dr. Durrani is board certified in in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, he is affiliated with MedStar Washington Hospital Center, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and the MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI). He received his medical degree from Kashmir University, Government Medical College and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Nassau University Medical Center. Continuing his studies, he completed fellowships at multiple institutions, including the National Institute of Health, Children's National Medical Center, George Washington University Hospital and Duke University Medical Center. In 2015, he and a team of cardiac specialists at MHVI performed the first successful implant of the WATCHMAN
