Dr. Joshua J. Wind, M.D., is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in offering minimally invasive neurosurgical solutions to patients with brain and spine conditions. He sees patients in outpatient consultation at Washington Neurosurgical Associates, a neurosurgical practice that has provided neurosurgical care in the DC area for over 50 years. Dr. Wind provides surgical and inpatient consultative care at Sibley Memorial Hospital and George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Wind obtained his undergraduate education at the College of William and Mary in Virginia, followed by his medical school education at Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago, where he graduated cum laude, Alpha Omega Alpha, and with honors in bioethics and professionalism. He then completed an internship in general surg I am currently a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Washington Academy of Neurological Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons. I have licenses to practice medicine in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. I have co-authored several book chapters, and I have written over 20 peer-reviewed publications across a breadth of topics in neurosurgey in journals such as: The New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of Neurosurgery, The Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine, The Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics, The Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, The European Spine Journal, The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, among others.
