Established in 1976, David M. Schwarz Architects Inc. is a design, architecture and planning firm based in Washington, D.C. It specializes in designing for civic/cultural, sports/entertainment, health care, office/retail/hospitality, residential, single/multifamily, educational, mixed use, master planning, historic preservation and objects/furniture projects throughout the United States. Its list of completed projects includes Smith Center for the Performing Arts, Regent Square, U Street Boutique Hotel, The Carnegie Building and many more. In December 2008, Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) awarded the Professional Design Award of Recognition to David M. Schwarz Architects Inc.
