Founded in 1936 in Chicago, Air Transport Association of America is one of the nation s oldest and largest airline trade associations, representing the nation s leading airlines. The firm employs more than 75 people, and provides a wide range of services to its members, including committees designed to deal with issues related to fuel, airports, engineering and maintenance, training, ground safety, medical issues, and international affairs. Air Transport Association of America is recognized by the state legislatures, Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and Transportation Security Administration.
