My family rented out the place because we had a wedding in Warren. We were reprimanded like children by the owner for being too loud, even though we were the only people in the place. He got upset with the minister that was staying there for turning on his stereo and at my 80-some year old grandfather for looking around the house in a room that had the door open. We also heard him scolding the girl who works in the kitchen because she wore shorts to work in on Sunday, saying "You DO NOT wear shorts to the Horton House on Sunday" as if it was a sacred religious relic. It was great to be able to be all together and have the house to ourselves, but the owner kind of put a damper on our good time. The house is great however, very large rooms and plenty of space to lounge around.
