National Coney Island is a chain of more than 15 restaurants spread over southeastern Michigan. It was founded by James Giftos in 1965 in Roseville, Mich. The restaurant chain s menu includes burritos, chicken quesadillas, boneless chicken tenderloins and cod fillets. Its restaurants also offer a range of desserts that includes fresh fruit pies, assorted cakes, rice puddings and hot fudge cream puffs. Additionally, the chain s restaurants offer a variety of beverages that includes lemonade, hot chocolate, milk shakes and ice cream floats. National Coney Island also provides off-premise catering services for various gatherings that include weddings, graduation parties, company picnics and outdoor festivals. The restaurant chain maintains a presence in Warren, Mich.

This was my first time here and during lunch time on a week day. The place is packed, busy, and smells sweaty and stinks like smoke. The table we sat at was still dirty from a previous sitter, and the host took a napkin from the holder and wiped the table off quickly then left. The worst part was I had asked for non-smoking, and what happens? They seat us on the other side of a smoking table. What is seperating us from the non-smoking section is nothing but a piece of clear plastic with a huge gap in between the small 'wall' and the table. I asked to be moved immediately but was told I would have to wait another 15 minutes! After we are moved to another table, still within distance to the non-smoking section, the waitress got my order wrong, when I had specifically asked for chicken! This was the worst experience ever. Great if you want to eat in a dirty place and you enjoy smoking, otherwise, don't bother wasting your money!
