I bought a storm door from Lowes yesterday. I was met at the door by a friendly greeter who brought me right to where I needed to be. My whole shopping experience was great until I checked out. I had 3 credit cards and a debit card with me but instead I used a personal check. For some reason, the check had to be verified (or maybe I had to be verified) by someone that the cashier called. The poor cashier had to give all the information several times to whoever was on the other end. I took probably 20 minutes to get my check approved. I had a 30 minute drive to Home Depot and a 25 minute drive to Lowes. I went to Lowes because it should have been faster. Instead I was embarassed, the cashier was embarsassed, and several customers were standing in line were complaining about the slowness of the service. It was early on a Sunday so there were't a lot of cashiers on duty. Why don't you use a system that automatically debits the money so you don't have to put your customers through that?
