Blair Oaks R-II School District, located in Jefferson City, serves the communities of St. Thomas, Osage Bend, Taos and Wardsville in Missouri. The district encompasses an area of more than 70-square miles and governs elementary and secondary schools. Its academic curriculum includes math, science, social studies, language arts and English. Its schools provide classes to more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district s school houses libraries, media centers, science rooms and labs, instruction television rooms, health education classroom and expanded counseling and nurse areas. It operates advisory committees involving parents to deal with issues, such as the guidance and vocational programs, discipline policies, student handbook revisions and curriculum development.
