County Players was born in 1958. Now, more than half a century later, we are proud to present our 59th season. During our lifetime, we have presented over 200 productions and have served thousands of theatregoers who continue to reward our efforts with their loyal attendance. Clearly, they share our belief that we provide excellent theatre. In 1977, we acquired the old Academy Theatre in the Village of Wappingers Falls, and through countless hours of volunteer efforts, we have turned a crumbling relic into a living theatre – The County Players Falls Theatre. We paid off our mortgage, continue to make improvements to our building, and still manage to keep our prices at an affordable level. Our promise for the future is to continue on the path of fiscal responsibility, theatrical improvement, and entertainment! To delight, educate, and challenge the community and to nurture creative expression, through theatre and the performing arts of the highest quality. County Players is currently not wheelchair accessible. There is no staff to assist with a lift. There is a short flight of stairs from the street into the lobby and two small flights of stairs from the lobby into the theatre.County Players was born in 1958.
