The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is one of the largest sheriff's departments in the world and focuses on providing a wide range of crime prevention services. In addition to specialized services, such as the sheriff's youth foundation, international liaison and employee support services, the department is divided into more than 10 divisions, each controlled and supervised by a division chief. It has various service divisions, including patrol divisions, custody operations and correctional services divisions, and detective and court services divisions. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department also includes a range of other service divisions, such as technical services, office of homeland security, administrative services, and leadership and training divisions.
