Established in 1984, Blue Mountain Community Foundation is a community service organization, working as a constructive catalyst in the local philanthropic community to identify problems and opportunities and to shape effective responses to them. Based in Walla Walla, Wash., the foundation serves communities across Columbia and Garfield Counties in Washington and northern Umatilla County in Oregon. It offers donors a variety of fund types and accepts gifts of various forms and amounts. The organization make grants addressing needs identified in area communities across the domains of basic needs, health/ wellness, education, economy, arts and culture, neighborhoods and communities and the environment. Additionally, Blue Mountain Community Foundation offers scholarships to students seeking higher education.
