Operational since 1953, the Walkertown Volunteer Fire Department serves the residents Walkertown, N.C. The department offers fire rescue and hazardous material assistance services. It provides public education training classes that include topics related to fire and emergency preparedness. With a staff of more than 50 employees, the Walkertown Volunteer Fire Department has a fleet of fire safety trailers, trucks and engines. The department conducts fire and life safety demonstrations for children and senior citizens. In addition, it offers services for schools, churches and public events.
