Fountain Rock Park is a perfect little jewel in Frederick County, Md near the town of Walkersville. It has a small, but wonderful nature center, a quarry pond that families can feed the fish in the warm months, an historic lime kiln with a trail with signs to read about the history. The nature center offers programs that I have enjoyed often. I was told that approximately 10,000 park visitors visit the nature center every year. It's a great place to visit!
