I would like to thank your establishment in advance for hosting a fundraiser for John Hanson Golf Club. We are the onlygolf club in Charles County School system that has a active golf club. We are on the verge of putting in the first putting green. This will enable students to afford an opportunity to compete for the 200 plus scholarships that go unused each year. Thank you, Bernard Barnes Assistant Supervisor in Building Service/HSKP Hanson Golf Coach

As part of our "John Wilkes Booth Escape Route" tour which originated in DC, for lunch our guide suggested we try - what he described as - the best BBQ in Maryland. With a single eyebrow raised, we collectively decided to follow his lead. Located on the main drag through town, the unpretentious storefront gave no indication of the treat which was in store inside for us. As we pulled the door open, the aroma of BBQ permeated the air. Of the BBQ beef, pork or chicken entrees, I chose the BBQ 1/4 chicken - and Lefty's did not disappoint. And the Cornbread side order with butter was "to die for". Having eaten out far too often, I find that 90% of the time I leave a restaurant thinking, "Well, I'm full...". When we clamored back into our van to resume of tour, we left with that all too rare exchange of exclamations: "Now THAT was good!" And it was.
