My spouse and I ate here abour 3 weeks ago when it first opened. We are no strangers to sushi and travel to DC and VA when we need our fix. Kobe is a great little gem of a restaurant in the middle of St. Charles. The decor is very tasteful, upscale and clean, the servers were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My spouse and I had one of the sushi platters, as well as wings and calamari. The sushi platter was fresh, well-made with tight rolls and precise cuts of fish. Very tasty. The accompanying miso soup and salad were very good as well. Although the salad only had iceberg lettuce, I liked that it was torn, crisp and freshly washed. The wings were plated nicely with fresh garnish, and they were crispy, sweet and slightly spicy and very good! The calamari had a distinct spice in the light batter and were fried just right, not too hard and not too much batter.
