CanDo Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative founded by people with a common bond of association. Like many credit unions, CanDo had modest beginnings. It began operation in 1938 to serve employees of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad in the Toledo Terminal Area. Since that time, services have increased from basic savings accounts and loans to a wide variety of services, incorporating the latest advances in technology. In 1995 the credit union changed its name to CanDo Credit Union to better serve it's more than thirty five select employee groups. That same year, a new building was completed, a mark of our growth and stability. CanDo is owned and run by it's members. It is managed and operated by professional staff members who work under the guidance of the member elected Board of Directors. Through sound management, innovative benefits and services with a personal touch, CanDo Credit Union has gained respect in the community and region. The Board, management and staff continue to stress the reason for our existence financial service to our members.
