- Deep Tissue MassageCranio-Sacral therapy was recommended and although Linda integrates it with other techniques, her work is very different than a traditional deep tissue massage. I hadn’t thought much about it until I noticed about 4 days after my first session that at that moment ‘I had no pain!!!’ I have not been able to make that statement in the last 10 years. I am not saying I have been completely pain free from then on, I wasn’t. I continue to see her regularly and she continues to help keep my pain level to a minimum. Since I have seen her I had been able to reduce my pain medicine by over 50%. My doctor was very pleased when I asked to reduce the amount of my pain medicine.
- Craniosacral MassageCranioSacral Therapy is a gentle method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system. This bodywork enhances the body’s natural healing process and has proven effective in caring for a wide range of problems associated with pain and dysfunction. Since this system influences the development and function of the brain and spinal cord, any imbalance or dysfunction in the craniosacral system could cause sensory, motor, or neurological disabilities. Craniosacral Therapy encourages the body’s natural healing mechanisms to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, dissipate the negative effects of stress, and enhance health and resistance to disease.
- AcupressureCombines methods and techniques that include acupuncture principles, acupressure, muscle testing, massage, and dietary guidelines. Muscle testing determines which muscles are strong or weak, indicating if a physical problem or organ dysfunction exists. A variety of methods are used to strengthen weak muscles or otherwise correct imbalances, including chemical/nutritional or emotional factors.
- AcupunctureMuscle Testing involves positioning your arm, leg or body in a particular way and then seeing if your muscle can hold against pressure. Different pressures are applied to determine neural availability of the muscle to act or strength. If we find a muscle that is imbalanced I then investigate to determine why that muscle is not functioning properly. Various corrections, including NeuroMuscular Provocation (NMR) Neurokinetic Therapy ® (NKT), cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture balancing, nutrition, dietary management, Psych-K, and evaluating environmental irritants can bring a muscle back into balance.
