The initial meeting will allow your child to meet the instructor and discuss what they like and what they would like to learn. This consultation takes about 15-20 minutes. - Wheel Throwing for BeginnersAlways wanted to try out wheel throwing? Perfect for the busy person, who has always wanted to try wheel throwing, but can't commit to a 8 week class. No prior experience or tools are needed. Your lesson includes around 45 minutes of one on one supervised wheel time.Our instructor will walk you step by step through the process. You will create two items (usually bowls, but you can try for a vase too!)Your projects must be dried and fired and will be ready for glazing in about 2-3 weeks. Your fee includes all instruction, clay, 2 firings and glazing.Children are able to take lessons but must be at least 7 years old. Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance. We only have one studio wheel, so lessons are always one on one. - Rent some time on our pottery wheelHave you used a pottery wheel in the past but haven't had access to a wheel or kiln? If it has been less than 3 years since your last throwing experience, we offer rental time on our wheel. If it's been more than 3 years, you may want to take a refresher class, and then you can rent wheel time anytime. All we ask is you show us some of your skills prior to use (takes about 10 minutes and we will even provide you with the clay!) We only have one wheel, so rental is for one person. If you would like to bring a friend, we allow that, but each person pays a rental fee. Clay, firing and glazing is all purchased separately and is based on what you make.
- Brownie Legacy Painting Badge (Session 1 of 2)This two session class will bring your Brownie's through all the steps they need to earn their complete Legacy Artist Painting badge. Sessions are about 2 hours long for each.
