Established in 1990, The Rising Phoenix a private, nonprofit organization that provides employment services to individuals who suffer from mental and physical disabilities. It offers work adjustment support program that emphasizes development of functional skills and community inclusion services through age appropriate activities and curriculum. The Rising Phoenix also provides self-advocacy, personal empowerment, and occupational and community safety services and training on social, employment, communication, and personal health and hygiene skill development. Its other areas of specializations include job support, coaching and placement services, as well as mental health rehabilitative programs that focus on development and enhancement of emotional stability, personal adjustment and daily living skills. The Rising Phoenix is located in Wadena, Minn.
