  Another added benefit for our athletes out there is that electrical stimulation is not only effective for treating muscle spasm and back pain, but also for muscle recovery. Think about how relaxed you feel after a deep tissue massage. Electrical stimulation works by mimicking those effects. During treatment, your body experiences an increased flow of blood to the area where the electrode is placed, providing muscles that have been constricted during exercise to get the blood flow needed to best recover.

  Once your pain is gone and your muscles and tissues have fully healed, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid problems in the future. Think of it like having your car tuned up to make sure it continues to run properly. Usually, this only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.

• Subluxation
  To have a better understanding of how the Proadjuster works, we have to understand the idea of palpation. When we palpate your spine, we are checking for the motion, fluidity, and/or rigidity of your spine. If we find improper motion that effects nerve function, that is called a subluxation. Similar to palpation, the Proadjuster is able to determine if the vertebra’s motion is too fluid or too rigid. The spine should be neither hypo-mobile (too rigid) nor hyper-mobile (too fluid). Once these subluxations and areas of hypo- or hyper-mobility are determined by the Proadjuster, we can begin your customized treatment plan. The Proadjuster is a tool that allows us to isolate an issue in a faster and more accurate fashion.
