Self-Help Enterprises, also known as SHE, offers self-help housing and sewer and water development services, as well as homebuyer programs in the San Joaquin Valley in California. Founded in 1965, it provides housing rehabilitation and homeownership counseling services. The organization offers credit management and foreclosure prevention solutions. Self-Help Enterprises conducts community-based funding and technical assistance programs for the development of water and wastewater systems. It serves the citizens of Stanislaus, Merced, Kings, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Tulare and Kern counties in California. The organization is funded by the National Council of La Raza, Calvert Foundation, housing Assistance Council and Threshold Foundation.
