I went into Fontanieres office for the first time with a severe problem of menstration thinking that I was pre-menopausal. Most Doctors would have written off the symptoms to menopause and let me go but Dr Fontanieres ordered extensive tests and did a biopsy right away. She called me as soon as the results came in and told me I had uterine cancer. She sent me to the best oncologist in the area. I had a hysterectomy within a few weeks. My oncologist told me that I had an excellent ob/gyn to have caught that in 1st stage cancer and that a lot of doctors mis diagnose 44 year old women with symptoms of menopause. She is most excellent. I highly recommend her-she saved my life by taking time to really evaluate me and not just push me out the door.
