When considering a Geothermal system, certain questions should be answered prior to choosing a contractor for the project. Consider the following: How long has the contractor been involved in Geothermal installations? Did the contractor provide references from satisfied Geothermal customer? Did they request your heating & cooling bills to help establish what level of savings can be realized? Did they perform and in-depth analyses of your home to establish the proper heating & cooling requirement for your home? Is the complete system installed and warranted by the same company? Are they properly licensed to do this kind of work?Geothermal systems are a considerable investment for your home and you need to be assured that it will be installed correctly. A system that is not designed and sized correctly will consume too much power and reduce the systems expected lifespan. Had Gildersleeve replace our 35 year old Open Loop Geothermal Florida HVAC system 2 years ago with a State-of-the- Art Climatemaster Closed Loop Geothermal. They competed against three other companies for the job. They were most definitely the best contractor that we have worked with in the thirty years and 6 homes we've had. Service and maintenance are also one of their strong points. Fast, prompt, reliable and responsive are a few of the words that come to mind to describe our experience with them. From the receptionist to the service technicians, they set the bar for professionalism in the trade. Of course, this is my opinion of them. I strongly doubt anyone could give less praise for Guildersleeve. Some may go further.
