Brian & Sara Covert spent most of their nearly 21 years of marriage joking about opening pizza shop! Both having backgrounds in communications, it really was funny to consider opening a restaurant but in the Summer of 2017, several things fell into place that they could make that dream become a reality in a town less than 5 miles from their home and with a population of 133! They prayed a lot, researched a lot and asked a lot of questions; on September 7, 2017, the doors to Viola’s Pizza Company officially opened! Today, two years later, they continue to draw folks from many miles away to enjoy their hand-crafted dough (made over 3 days), smooth tomato sauce with hand-crushed tomatoes, a blend of cheese that is shredded in-house and toppings that are prepared right in the shop on the square in Viola!
