Shawn Puri, M.D. is an Anesthesiologist, Fellowship-trained, Pain Specialist. Dr. Puri specializes in interventional pain management and medication management. He treats patients who suffer from chronic and acute pain, utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to pain recovery. Some of the treatments offered include epidurals, facet blocks, nerve blocks, and a variety of other spinal injections and procedures. He completed his anesthesia residency at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School and his Pain Medicine Fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center with a focus on interventional pain management for acute and chronic pain syndromes. Dr. Puri is an active member in research and specialty organizations. He served as one of two resident representatives on the executive board of the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists and as state representative to the ASA National Resident Delegation (2013-2015). For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Puri received his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania (2006) and his Doctor of Medicine from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (2011), where he was selected Outstanding Medical Student in Anesthesiology.
