Sanjay Kumar, M.D., is a vascular surgeon treating patients at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. Dr. Kumar earned his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed residencies at the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine. He also completed a vascular surgery fellowship at the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine at Cooper University Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Kumar treats diseases of the vascular system with managed medical therapy, minimally invasive procedure and surgical reconstruction. He performs procedures such as aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, angioplasty and stenting, bypass surgery for limb salvage, arteriovenous fistula declotting and varicose vein removal. Dr. Kumar also participates in clinical research studies and has had research on the advancement of carotid surgery featured in the Annals of Vascular Surgery medical journal. Dr. Kumar believes in a patient-centered approach to care. He uses the latest technology, his extensive knowledge and clear communication with his patients to provide them with the best care and outcomes after surgery. Outside of work, you can find Dr. Kumar mountain biking, hiking, practicing yoga and mixing music. He has two birds named Twitter and Fiji and loves Mediterranean food. While traveling and vacationing in St. Lucia are two of his favorite things, Dr. Kumar's favorite thing about New Jersey is going to the shore. He is now accepting new patients.
