Here on Vinalhaven for the first time on vacation. Island Grill is on the small side; dining room on the left, counter/bar seating on the right. Good selection of beer and mixed drinks available



The food was very good. We had crab roll sandwich, potato salad, lobster salad and a cup of fish chowdah'.. All very good to excellent. Chowder was not overly salted so you could season to taste.



It looks like the locals eat here. We had an enjoyable conversation at the counter with two local lobstermen, (one with his family); who educated us on Vinalhaven; lobstering and lobster pricing.



The waitstaff, although very busy; were friendly, professional and efficient.
