- FraudMike Holm is a veteran trial lawyer who represents businesses in bet-the-company cases involving corporate governance issues and other unfair business practices. As lead counsel, Mike has tried over 40 cases involving derivative claims of breach of fiduciary duty, theft of corporate opportunity, business conspiracy, partnership and corporate dissolutions and accounting claims, minority stockholder oppression, interference with contract, conversion of corporate assets, trade secret misappropriation, construction delay claims, environmental regulatory issues, securities fraud, breach of contract, torts and other business related matters. - Business DisputesAlison focuses her practice on the defense of business and employment claims, as well as providing strategic and legal counseling to both public and private employers. She has experience litigating a variety of employment matters, including claims arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. While she focuses her practice on discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims, Alison also litigates complex contract disputes, business torts, and other civil litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout the United States. - Business TransactionsAndrea regularly advises clients on a broad spectrum of employee benefits matters, including retirement plans, health and welfare plans, equity programs, and executive compensation arrangements. She designs and drafts plan documents, summary plan descriptions, legally-required notices and policies, open enrollment materials, and other employee communications that are key to the successful implementation of these benefit plans under ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, and other relevant laws. In addition, Andrea provides technical compliance assistance for benefit plans on a wide variety of matters; handles government filings, inquiries, and audits for her clients’ benefit programs; and implements remedial actions under the government’s numerous voluntary corrective action programs for plan errors. Andrea also provides support to her business clients by coordinating benefit claims disputes; assessing and negotiating the employee benefit implications of business transactions (including reductions in force, asset and stock sales, mergers and acquisitions), and negotiating vendor contracts for the support of benefit plan administration.

He is an editor of Employment Law in Virginia, the acknowledged “bible” of sources for the law of the workplace in Virginia, and he is the author of the book’s chapter on Unfair Competition, which deals with covenants not to compete, disloyalty, and theft of trade secrets.
